One of my favorite decks I've ever made in Magic: The Gathering was a deck I called "Ghost Bear Monks".

It included creatures that could come back from the dead in more powerful forms, a giant hammer, a "Monk class" card from a D&D set (which I'm particularly proud of because I so rarely saw that card used), a stuffed bear that could come to life (a gargoyle in Susan's deck), and, of course, eight out of the sixty cards could destroy every creature on the board.

The bear, and a land that's actually a dragon, would be spared.

Put in a way clear to even non-players, rocks fall, everything dies, then ghosts, a stuffed bear, and land that's actually a dragon finish things.

It wasn't the most powerful or consistent deck, but the reason it's one of my favorites is because I wasn't copying anything when I made it. While similar decks must have existed, I was doing my own thing by trial and error, and including cards I wasn't seeing anyone else using. That is by far my preferred way of doing things.

So, of course, I gave Susan a deck inspired by it for my parody card game tournament, and not just for sentimental reasons! I wanted Susan to have a deck that could perform well without simply being some overpowered nonsense given to her by Tensaided. She has a quirky custom deck that often has to be played very carefully to win.

The giant hammer will PROBABLY come up at some point, but no guarantees.
