Is... Is he arranging the bananas into a blooming onion arrangement? X'D I mean, either way, it made me imagine a "blooming banana" as a bunch of deep fried bananas seasoned with cinnamon sugar and served with some kind of dessert-y dipping sauce which honestly seems like a freaking awesome party dessert tray.
I was thinking of a giant banana sculpture made from other bananas. A booming onion is made from a single large onion dipped in batter( the batter helps keep it together while it's being fried).
Yeah I know what a blooming onion is (the way the bananas are arranged looks like the multiple 'fingers' of the deep fried onion sticking up), so I was imagining these bananas being deep fried in a similar way.
Ok, so if you have a turkey fryer, this is totally doable, you just need some armature wire. And a lot of dough. I recommend cutting the "bottom" layer of bananas in half, but make two more layers of full lengths above it, angling each layer in a little more than the one below it.
For a dipping sauce, go for 2tbsp creamy JIF peanut butter with 1/4 cup melting chocolate and 1/4 cup heavy cream, heat together on low in a saucepan until smooth. When done, sprinkle in a handful of toffee bits that you can buy from the grocery store, they're usually next to the baking chocolate.
Heh, forgot I have a comicfury account already. Reply here if you want to know more about crazy food.
I love the look that raven gives Raven when he tells Al he doesn't get along with most people. And he really had to squeeze that pun in there, didn't he?
"Schooner or later" just about killed me. Yay growing up on the water.
Holy hell, the amount of pain on Algerith's face in panel 2 was not expected whatsoever. I wonder what's going on behind his mask that we haven't seen.
I've always pronounced it 'skooner'. Is it supposed to be 'shooner'?
Nope, it's indeed /skuːnə(ɹ)/, see https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/schooner
Sch (like in school a soft consonant) ooner
Unless you pronounce it hard, and that skool too.
I'll be honest, I did not expect Al's angle to be this. I'm pleasantly surprised, he seems to be less, er.. hostile? wary? of Kat at this stage than I expected. I guess her truce offer really worked?
I thought he would think she was incompetent or something. I’m glad that may not be the case.
this conversation is revealing so much about Al & Raven's relationship that they can talk like this, especially contrasted to previous convos this chapter
Yeah, it's an interesting dynamic I din't expect- you'd think their personalities would not mesh, but they are actually kind of gentle with each other
Oh. Was Kat not to whom Hechoton was referring when he said "You could always ask-"? Because now it seems that Al was actually open to the idea, but he shut it down pretty quickly when Hechoton suggested it.
It's actually cool to see the different sides to Al. It's clear that Al does not want to ask his father for help but is doing it because he has no other options (well other than Kat which is his LAST option). It looks like he's comfortable letting his guard down around Raven. I'm sure the stuck-up side will pop back up as soon as he has to approach Kat.
Kind of suprised that these kind of come out sooner than i expected cause these usually take a lot of time to make, oh well peak content
Raven shows up BRIEFLY, is chaotic, a menace, and a spouter of puns, and muscles his way into being my favorite character. I am almost angry about it.
Schooner the boat ? or Schooner the beer ? we have both down here ;)
There's 'schooner' the beer glass too but you never hear that in this area.
