Paul and Nancy have been together long enough they’ve created a list of questions neither of them wants to answer. The biggest one is the “Why don’t we move in together” question.
Despite having been an item for some time now, they’re still in denial about taking it all the way, and Paul moving into Nancy‘s house is something that both of them would regard as the final surrender.
In the meantime, Paul gets a phone call from his mom. Presumably regarding what the department has been talking about previously.
