7th Son: Descent

7th Son: Descent cover

The president of the United States is dead. He was murdered in the morning sunlight by a four-year-old boy…

So begins 7th Son: Descent, the technothriller novel by J.C. Hutchins. Originally released as a free audiobook podcast, Descent will be in bookstores in late October. 7th Son has been featured in The New York Times, The Washington Post, Time.com, Wired.com UK, and on the cover of Blogger & Podcaster magazine.

As I often do, today I'm promoting one of the podcast authors I'm a fan of.  J.C. Hutchins is a fantastic author, and hopefully you've already experienced his work through Personal Effects: Dark Arts or even the first release of 7th Son.

For those who aren't "in" yet, podcast novels generally release their works for free, releasing a section of the book each week or so until the complete book has been released.  Its a huge amount of work, but its a good way to get their works out there and to the readers/listeners, even if its free.  If you like it, its appreciated, but not required, that you buy the print version of the book or donate something via podiobooks.com

The 7th Son trilogy was released for free, 3 complete novels, fantastic novels, and J.C. Hutchins was rewarded for that work by getting his book published.  This is an improved, slightly rewritten book, making it a treat for both new fans and old.    The 7th Son trilogy was actually one of the first, if not the first podcast audio fiction I listened to, and it really cemented my appreciation for the format and made me hungry for more.  So I'm excited to  hopefully turn a few more regulars of TWC into fans of one of J.C. Hutchins.

You can go over to his website and start listening to the recordings of the new novel that are being released right now, or, if you get impatient, you can buy his book in stores today or via Amazon
