Here's page 47 of Fusion #17, which brings this issue (and this story arc) to a close.
Fusion will be going on a between-issue hiatus for the next 2 months or so while I work on the next issue. And the next issue will be the first in the final story arc! Things will certainly be getting serious for our heroes in the coming issues!
This would be a very good page to end a comic, in general. Here, there are some unresolved things. Namely, Oblivion.
But my first thought was: Thank you for this page! :°-) Yes, your world is in good hands. I wish the real world would be in the hands of kids who have a personal future instead of seeing their personal end coming within probably less than a decade.
I think he's pretty much imagining his sister's answers/comments, but they're likely based on what she said during his time with her in the Space Out of Time before Fusion and company showed up. There may be some residual life energy of hers seeping from the OM-Mat as well, but I would suspect that would be more of a warm, comforting feeling than a conscious conversation.
And, yes, the Oblivion matter will be moving to the forefront of Fusion's problems in the not-too-distant future.
Still slow. Had several false starts with Issue #18. The next issue begins the final story arc, so lots of material to cover, and just fitting the pieces together. Plus a bit of burnout so giving myself a Vaughn-esque "Saga" hiatus. (Except my hiatus won't be nearly as long as Vaughn's!) I'm hoping to have things rolling in the next 2 months.
Sorry to hear about the burnout. Take your time; I'll gladly wait for a well written story rather than insist on a quickly written story! That said, I am glad to hear it'll hopefully be just a couple more months!
In the words of the inimitable Doc Nichols, "I can count the number of webcomics that return after a year on the fingers of one elbow." It was a good run and I'm sad to see it die but it's time to pull the plug. Good luck with your future projects.
Sorry. Didn't realize I was logged out when I posted. This will be coming back. Next issue story is done and scripting has begun. I've been going into more planning for upcoming issues than in the past since these will be the final issues of the series, so all ducks need to be lined up. Also trying to work out the best way to handle Fusion and Dude in Distress. Weekly updates for both became unmanagable for me with family and work.
Still awaiting Hulk to snap his figners with the 6 Infinity stones and get us more Fusion. I know Real Life gets the priority, and should. Just saying we're all awaiting the chance to see more. But do what you need FIRST!
