I've been resisting doing this because part of me still really wants to finish this comic. But it's becoming more and more clear to me that I should just be honest with both myself and you guys about how likely it is I will be continuing.
I wish you the best of luck. I've really enjoyed your work, and hope you do continue at some point. But I certainly understand overwhelming stress, so when thinking of the comic remember that you've already given us a great gift in it. If you end up unable to give more, I am still grateful.
I'm sorry to hear this, but your health comes before the comic. If you can come back to it, great. If not, you gave us some wonderful laughs with what you did share.
My greatest regret is that I never got to Alderaan. I had so many fun things planned for that planet. That alone makes me want to come back. But for the time being I'll have to give it a rest.
With CF I really run the extremes of loving this community and be annoyed by this community. There is a lot of good here. I'd argue it's one of the better web comic communities out there but I also tend to get sucked in to the drama more than I would like and I am just getting too damn old for that BS.
Though I do miss interacting with you. You are one of the one of the more interesting and enjoyable people to talk to on CF.
I’m glad things are going better for you, and I hope that they continue to improve. As many have said before me, personal life comes first. When things get better, we will be here to share in the laughs once more.
Good luck! :)
You come first! Put yourself above all others when it comes to your health, without you have nothing. I'm just glad that you are alright. Take the time you need. :)
Hope life, love, work etc resolve to give you the happy life you deserve. This is supposed to be fun for you and for us. If the comic isn't fun and just adding stress to your life it shouldn't happen, at least for now.
I suspect we will all check back periodically, hoping you get to a place in your life where tying of loose ends in the comic is fun and makes you feel good. If not I am sure you talent and creativity will find other outlets.
Pay attention to your job. I once got very tired of engineering and had decided that I needed to change careers. The first step was to move to another company to start my transition. At the new company I found that I still loved engineering but I did hate my old job.
Onward and upward. I will continue to miss Salih's pained expressions (and Vette's and Kaliyo's) over the green faced sith lord of cookies and tea cozies- And be grateful for the laughs, relieved that you are well, and delighted that you invited us to your other art. THANK YOU-
I can't say I'm surprised, but there was always hope.
I can't say I'm upset either - disappointed yes but not upset. What you're saying here was already coming through between the lines in the last half-dozen updates, so the expectation was already there. As others have said, take care of yourself first.
Good luck with everything you do. And remember: one day, the SWTOR servers WILL shut down. But on that day, your comic will still exist. The day may come when people talk about that SWTOR game, all those years ago, and say "Take a look at this comic. That's what it was like."
