A new story begins! This is something different -- an alternate history frozen world story. Similar to the last story, this will have plenty of monsters! Thematically it has some similarities too, with men facing a difficult world and struggling to find some peace.

This was written for an anthology which passed on the story, but did help me find Jim Gallagher, the amazing artist who brought this world to life. Then Chunlin Zhao came on board and added colors to give it another dimension. Be sure to check them out too. And come back every Wednesday and Saturday for the rest of the story. It's going to be fun!

More of a mutant elephant. On the next page we'll find out a little more about the world and creatures.

fanged elephant monster, steampunky guns and curling staches means this is gonna be a fun one.

The vaguely lovecraftian name implies it may turn south pretty quick, though...

*edit* and by 'turn south' I mean things will go from light and fluffy to dark, horrifying and bloody.

The name is meant to give it a feeling of mystery (something Lovecraft, I think, did amazingly well, but gets overshadowed by his other talents). The real problem is the story is one of the 6-pages so the sense of adventure isn't explored as much as I would like! Of course, that doesn't mean there aren't more monsters...
