Jean Paul Thewissen of "The Light and Darkness of One's Heart" wrote an article discussing better ways for writers to explain to an artist how to illustratre their story. Its not as easy as it may seem, its very different from writing short stories/novels, and Jean Paul has a lot of good insight.
